Home

A safety net. One fixed location you can return to. Stability. These are just a few things that come to mind when describing the characteristics of one’s home. Yet, growing up I quickly grew to terms with the fact that I would never live in one location for more than a few years. When asked where I was from, I never knew how to respond. I had no concept of what home was and never created an emotional bond to any of the places I lived in. Standing still was simply not an option. In this body of work I explore to find my own definition of the word home. I have gathered a series of images that represent fading moments, spaces and memories that are meant to be built up and broken down. I invite viewers to join me in an attempt to put together these fragile pieces and continue to alter my views on what seems to be a never ending search.
